A philosophy of life, based on a proposition of its random creation

This is the third in a series of books that explore ways we can improve our quality of life. It explores the character and purpose of life on the proposition that it emerged randomly from the building blocks of energy, materiality and consciousness. The book provides a philosophical underpinning to the concepts proposed in the first two books in the series.

The basic premise is that matter emerged randomly from sub-atomic particles, such as quanta of energy. Material emerged from matter. Living organisms emerged from material. Consciousness emerged from life.

The book starts with a description in very simple terms of how this random pattern of events may have taken place. In doing so, it explores what we mean by life, what is consciousness, how it might have emerged randomly, and its purpose for life.

The book considers what insight this offers about the meaning and purpose of life.

Having established what we mean by consciousness, life and the purpose of life, the book goes on to explore what is personality, what is wellbeing and what is society. As it develops increasing layers of understanding, it gives insight into ways we can improve our lives.

The final section of the book applies the framework of understanding a number of challenges we face today, such as climate change, polarisation, bullying and stress.
